Learn to Dance Salsa: Basic Lessons for Beginners N.12 – Salsa is a very energetic Latin dance. Lots of fun, complete with spins, sharp movement, and crisp turns. Salsa is originally Cuban with deep Afro-Caribbean beats, and additional musical influences from Son, Guaguancó, Rumba. This dance is also similar to Mambo in that both have a pattern of six steps danced over eight counts of music. Salsa is normally a partner dance, although there are recognized solo forms, line dancing (suelta), and Rueda de Casino where groups of couples exchange partners in a circle. The name “salsa” is the Spanish word for sauce, connoting, in American Spanish, a spicy flavor. Salsa also suggests a “mixture” of ingredients. It’s a great dance to learn if you want to break into the latin club scene all over the world! By ShallWeDanceChannel ——————————————————————————– La Salsa è una danza latina molto energica.
